We undertake projects that align with the goals and objectives outlined in the Registered Deed of the Trust.

We enhance and bolster the primary initiatives of the "Rotary Club of Chennai Beehives," addressing all seven Areas of Focus established by Rotary International.

Our Commitment to Education and Literacy

We are committed to strengthening community capabilities to advocate for basic education and literacy, narrow the gender gap in education, and elevate adult literacy rates.

With the resources at our disposal, we extend targeted support to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, empowering them to reach their academic goals.

Our assistance includes:

- Financial aid for curriculum fees
- Support for continuing school or college education
- Provision of essential materials such as books, notebooks, and writing supplies

Additionally, we play a role in enhancing Government Schools by providing necessary infrastructure.

We also take the time to celebrate teachers on "Teachers Day," honoring their contributions by presenting awards to exceptional educators in memory of
Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
Celebrating Medical Professionals on Doctors Day --- To honor the selfless dedication and service of medical professionals to humanity, we celebrate "Doctors Day."

In collaboration with B M Hospital, Nanganallur, we organize annual Multi-Speciality Mega Medical Camp for the benefit of the Nanganallur community and its surrounding rural areas. Additionally, we conduct a weekly Free Medical Check-up to serve the local residents.

These camps and check-ups provide:

Free consultations with expert doctors.
Screenings, check-ups, and laboratory tests covering various health parameters, such as Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, Haemoglobin, and ECG.
Free medications for those in need.
Financial assistance for surgeries for underprivileged individuals.

Health & Sanitation Initiatives


Water Quality : Regularly install water purifiers in Primary Health Centres.  Distribute water aerators to households at no cost.


Disease Prevention : Guarantee a sufficient supply of free masks and sanitizer sachets/bottles for Hospitals, Police Stations, individual Sanitary Workers,

and the general public.


Worker Support : Provide aprons annually to garbage collectors.


Our Ongoing Community Service Projects – Support for Vulnerable Populations


Annadhanam Project

This initiative is a continuous effort where we provide food and clothing annually to senior citizens in old age homes and destitute children in care facilities. Each year, we visit these homes to deliver essential supplies, groceries, and vegetables. We also celebrate festivals, such as Deepavali, with the residents of the Destitute Children Home.


Livelihood Assistance

- We supply mobile vending vehicles to visually and physically challenged individuals to enhance their livelihood.

- Essential items like vending carts and iron boxes are provided to street vendors.

- We offer micro-credit to street vendors, auto drivers, and small shop owners.


Aid for the Physically Challenged

We provide artificial limbs to individuals with physical disabilities.


Garments for Girls

We supply garments to visually impaired girls who reside in protective homes.


Disaster Relief

We assist those who have been abandoned or displaced by natural disasters or flooding by offering shelter and food.


Education on Health Initiatives  Hygiene Lectures

We organize special lectures on General Hygiene and Menstrual Hygiene aimed at benefiting girl students in Government Girls Higher Secondary Schools.


Early Childhood Care Support

We provide financial aid to an early childhood care center located in a resettlement area. This support covers annual rent, electricity costs, teacher and assistant salaries, daily nutritional meals for the children, and supplies of play materials and stationery.


We consistently assist expecting and nursing mothers at Chennai Corporation Maternal Hospitals and Government Medical College Hospitals by offering Nutritive Food Kits, Nutrition Mix Food Kits, and Feeding Nighties. Furthermore, we provide Baby Kits designed for new borns and infants.

 

Our Commitment to Environmental Stewardship


We are dedicated to enhancing efforts that safeguard natural resources, promote ecological sustainability, and foster harmony between communities and the environment. Through our environmental mission and the Green Canopy Initiative, we concentrate on planting saplings in various locations, with a particular emphasis on hospital grounds and areas with significant public footfall.
