Rotary Club of Chennai Beehives Trust Overview
The Rotary Club of Chennai Beehives Trust was legally established in 2021, with five Founder Trustees. Its mission is to cultivate love and provide assistance to individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, both locally, nationally, and internationally.
Trustees
The Trust is governed by nine trustees, comprising five permanent members, three ex-officio members, and one nominated trustee. They oversee the efficient and proper management of the Trust's affairs. Funds collected are carefully tracked and allocated to various service projects.
Funds
The Trust ensures that funds raised for projects are diligently accounted for and distributed for the execution of service initiatives, all under the supervision of the Trustees. The Trust maintains transparency in its financial operations through external audits, and returns are submitted to the Income Tax Department. All financial activities are conducted with integrity and in accordance with regulations.
Objectives of the Trust
The primary objectives include providing relief to the poor and needy, along with engaging in activities aligned with charitable purposes aimed at humanity. Projects that fall under the Trust's aims and objectives are approved through a resolution by the Board of the Rotary Club of Chennai Beehives.
Area of Operation
The operational scope of the Trust is defined by its governing document. All activities carried out by the Trust are dedicated solely to charitable purposes, encompassing all seven focus areas of Rotary International:
- Peacebuilding and conflict prevention
- Disease prevention and treatment
- Water, sanitation, and hygiene
- Maternal and child health
- Basic education and literacy

- Protecting the environment
Activities – How the Trust Allocates Its Funds
Our Trust enhances and supports the primary initiatives of the "Rotary Club of Chennai Beehives," particularly addressing all seven focus areas of Rotary International. We aim to make contributions to both deserving local charities and international Rotary projects. Additionally, we provide funds for National and International disaster relief efforts, either directly or through the broader Rotary Family.
What the Trust Does
The Trust implements Community Service Projects that fall under General Charitable Purposes, Advancement of Health, Saving Lives of individuals with disabilities, and Prevention or Relief of Poverty, along with Overseas Aid and Famine Relief. The Trust actively seeks donations to finance a diverse array of projects, including:
